How Review Works
Each guide names its reviewer at the top of the page and in a bio box at the end. The reviewer reads the page against the official sources it cites: the permit office's own rule pages, municipal and state codes, official forms and fee schedules.
Reviewers check accuracy; the Editorial Team remains responsible for what is published. Pages not listed under a reviewer above show the date their rule was last checked and link every source, so you can check them yourself.
What We Will Not Do
- Publish a reviewer name, credential or licence number we cannot support from a public source.
- Show a reviewer on a page they did not review.
- Let contractor introductions or waitlist revenue affect what a reviewed page says.
To report an error on a reviewed page, use the Contact Home Permit Guide page and include the official source if you have one. Our Editorial Policy explains how sources are chosen and rechecked, and About Home Permit Guide explains who runs the site.
